Vitamin D is a necessary ingrediant for the bone density together with calcium. I dont have any clue whether it will cause or aggrevate Type2 diabetis. This must be only a myth.

There is no direct relation between Vit D and Diabetes, with my limited knowledge. But Diabetes is related to cholesterol level and Vit D also is related to Cholesterol. Chemical Structure of Cholesterol and Vit D and almost same. (Incidentally Vit D is also called Calciferol) Formation of Vit D is a way out to exhaust excess Cholesterol human may have. Since we have reduced our in take of Saturated fat, in general our cholesterol levels in blood is reduced, which results in low Vit D.

Adding fuel to the problem, we still more apply SUN SCREEN Lotion to prevent Our Skin producing Vit D. So problem of Depletion of Vit D gets aggravated.

Obviously we may see that number incidences of diabetes has increased. So there is definitely a link.
