Type 2 remission help

Hi

I was diagnosed with T2 6 weeks ago with an HBA1c of 101, I am doing the fast 800 diet of 2 shakes and a 400 cal meal in the evening. What should I be aiming my blood glucose to be? And how long did it take to achieve remission.

Currently my blood sugars are between 4.2 and 6.0 Mmols. I have also lost 9kgs (21 lbs).

Also I have been prescribed Metformin slow release 500 mg morning and evening. And hopefully will come off that soon. I am due my next blood test mid November.

Thanks
