glurenorm discontinued

Anyone else been taking this drug? I was taken off metformin because of severe CKD so can't take that again. Any suggestions of a substitute for glurenorm? Pharmacist was of no help.

I’m at stage 3b/4 depending on the day.

Since posting this morning, I’ve found a pharmacist who had 3 boxes of Glurenorm in stock and was willing to give them to me. I now have enough for months. So loads of time for me to find a replacement. It’s a shame I need to because it has been working very well for me.

I am so relieved I can avoid taking metformin again because my nephrologist was very serious about how bad it is for my kidneys.

If you google Glurenorm it is confirmed there is no bad effects on the kidneys.
