Tried to open a water bottle with my right hand - i am right handed - and was too weak to do this. Is this a normal sigh of PK?
Weakness on right side - normal? - Cure Parkinson's
Weakness on right side - normal?
Well it is for me. There are days when I will curse a gravy packet, or a recloseable cheese package because I cannot open them! It is frustrating and I could swear the food manufacturers are doing this on purpose! I always keep a scissor handy and Robert has installed an electric jar/bottle opener for me which is truly a God send.!

yes it is for me too - i am right handed but my left side - hand - arm and foot are bad - i.e they are painful and weaker
My right side is just beginning to show PD symptoms. I notice it when I'm trying to pour something into another bottle, hold something heavy and my handwriting.
There are no normals if you have Parkinson's, but it does affect my right side.
As a matter of fact on mon. 3/26 i'm going to have my dbs on the left which controls the right hooked up to it's generator which should make my handwriting legible & be able to open a bottle of water, no tremor, & help some walking. Later on this year I will have one put on the right side of brain to help with the freezing gait or steel shoes on a magnetic floor as I like to call it
lane-since03, praying all goes well with your procedure.
It does for me. My PD affects my left side and am right handed . Sometimes I have to save up jars to open until someone comes over.
Can echo all these comments. I am right handed, my pd is mostly left side, but my handwritng has gone down the pan. I used to write on blackboards all day, and prided myself it was good n clear, but not now.
