Changing Sinemet to Madopar : bad experiences ??

Hi everybody !

Due to the unbelievable fact that Sinemet no longer will be available

in Switzerland, I had to change from Dopadura 25/100 (that I already toke as

a replacement for Sinemet 25/100) to Madopar 125 (25/100) also

three times a day.

Since about 5 days the stiffness is getting worse and also concentration

difficulties. About that time I started the step by step replacement of the

medication.

8,9 days ago I had a very good week, although it was very hot and

I had to work a lot (?).

Since also about 5 days a have a sore throat.......

Anybody can say something about it and is it connected to the change.

Any advise to calm down the symptoms (also that sore throat) ??

Is it only the name brand that is no longer available or generics, too? I wouldn't think the sore throat is related, but I hope you feel better soon.

No, it's only the name brand that isn't available anymore (but apparently still possible in the Netherlands). The generics, of which Dopadura is one of them, are still available. But Dopadura I have to order it from Germany, and so the Swiss health insurance doesn't pay it pack.

I would venture to say, even though your in Switzerland the air quality could be compromised due to climatic heat wave, being responsible for your sore throat.

I moved from sinamet to madapor but I don’t remember any problems.

Sore throat probably just a virus.
