My opinion: You can watch videos that say other B1’s are better; they are more powerful; they cross the BBB; etc. but you cannot find much (if any) info on long-term positive results [success stories]. Best to leave Benfothiamine, TTFD, Sulbutiamine, etc. alone and stay with what works for other people.
I have tried TTFD... I kept overdosing on yet another lower dose. Started at 50mg, gave it up at return of symptoms with 17.5mg (it took me 10 days to OD on 50mg [probably should have quit at 3 days] and 4 weeks on 17.5mg)...
My sweet spot is 1000mg B1-hcl oral.... [Feeling Great at 65 days and counting] 😀
Show me wrong; Please supply your success story… 😕

Butterflygrandma Hmop I started my ordeal 15 months ago with TTFD. I am a little hard headed and have retried TTFD four times. healthunlocked.com/cure-par...
The only two I have seen work for many people on this forum and elsewhere are thiamine hcl and thiamine mononitrate and I think there were one or two who found benefit from benfotiamine. TTFD may have better bioavailability, but why is that even needed for PwP? The other two are less expensive and adequate for the task at hand.
I guess us Parkies just want as much relief from as many symptoms as possible in the easiest possible way. Almost 2 years ago I found Daphne Bryans book and the b1 protocol. Did as much research as possible then started on the b1 sublingual Superior Source. Like magic it changed my Parkinson’s life within a month. And now I am spending most of my time enjoying life and sharing my experience with new Parkies who need support to find their own sweet spot and new life. No quick easy answer without research
I’ve been taking 100mg sublingual for three months and seeing no improvement. In fact I’ve been experiencing severe vertigo for the past six weeks. I’m wondering if I should continue.
I could give you some idea of dosage but you really need to read Daphne Bryans book from Amazon in several different languages if you need it and watch her utube videos and interviews and join the fb group Parkinson’s b1 therapy. Then read all the files on that group. If you attempt to start without research you are likely to fail. Because you Need magnesium and bcomplex to compliment the b1
Hi! I'm brand new to PD and starting with b1 therapy. I found your post very encouraging! I would love more than anything to stop the progression and if at all possible, treat it naturally. I am on my 2nd week of b1 with sublingual tablet 100mg. What is a sign of an overdose and how long should I give it at this dose?
I just got a bad cold this week so it's really hard to know how I'm really doing. Thanks for your help!!😊
I chose to take sublingual b1. Started on 100mg Mon Wed Fri. Too high overdosed. Rested for 2 weeks started again on 50mg MWF success came within a month. My success video is on utube. I now only take 50mg weekly.
My husband about to start for the 5th time. Overdosed with sublingual and we have quite a lot in. May try much smaller dose. Do you think it is essential to keep it under your tongue for 40 mins and do you think it necessary to start magnesium and b complex 2 weeks before?
It has never been sugggested to hold for 40 minutes. Recommended time is 30 mins but why not start with 10 minutes for a week and if no negative symptom increase to 15 mins for another week. When I say week I mean MOn Wed Fri We are all different so you need to try what is right for you. BUT please be sure to monitor and record daily every tiny change negative or positive or you will never know what works and what doesn’t. Don’t give up.
You should start magnesium and bcomplex a month before you start b1 therapy. If you did not do this. Just continue b1 until you reach your sweet spot recording daily all changes or improvements. If you add in mag and bcomplex before you achieve sweet spot you will never know which one is causing the problem or improvement
I am just seeing this as it sounds like something I may have to try. So you cut your pill in 1/2?I see you then you only took 50mg MWF but now you only take 50 mg for the entire week?
