Leaky Gut

My GP sent me to a GI to help her determine why I was loosing weight. I gave her my self diagnoses, cardio workouts but it didn’t fly.

Long story short. After endoscopy and colonoscopy biopsies I was diagnosed with an H pylori infection in my stomach and put on three serious antibiotics.

With all the talk about PD starting in your gut in my case it may be true. I was diagnosed with PD in 2015. About the same time I had my first endoscopy, also prompted by an uncomfortable gut but without a bacteria diagnoses.

I haven’t done much research so would appreciate it if a kind soul would give me a start with gut related articles. Thanks Joey

Was it necessary to do endoscopy and colonoscopy biopsies? Can't you find H pylori in stool or blood?

My GP had me blow into two balloons for H pylori test. Came back negative. Nurse told me biopsy rules, hence the positive diagnoses.

What's the connection to cardio workouts and weight-loss? I understand some with PD drop weight because losing sense of smell and taste? Or an ulcer causing digestion problems? I spend a lot of time on my treadmill and don't seem to lose weight. I was diagnosed with PD a year ago. I've gained around 30# since then.
