ive done a few posts about gut issues I've had and asked alot of questions to other members about multiple gut issues i suffered from to a point where i could barely eat anything, medication wasn't being absorbed along with constipation and muscle cramps in my legs after meals and lots more even tried FMT. i has tried HDT after first being diagnosed but wasnt really suffering with gut issues then so gave it up as i didnt really notice much benefits. so i started HDT again recently and within a day or two my stomach and gut issues had improved massively to a point i felt comortable eating many foods i had given up. hoping this will be a long term thing and hope it helps others. i never tested low for B1 either on any tests

btw i am taking 500mg solgar brand tablets 4 to 5 times a day i find best, also forgot to add my PD symptoms have all improved along with my gut issues, and my medication now absorbs not long after meals before HDT i could be in pain with leg cramps for hours waiting for meds to work after a meal not even a large meal could cause this, i am now gaining weight again as i lost a lot of weight due to literally being afraid of eating as my meds took so long to work afterwards. i had my first burger in a long time the other night and enjoyed it without fear of a sleepless night with muscle cramps and all the other crap that goes with being in a off state for hours.

I agree, this is the best way to take the B1. I do this way too, my favorite brand is naturalpoint (only in Italy) because it is a small 500mg divisible pill.
I don't think this brand exports to the United States. However there are many good brands there like NOW , vitacost, solgar, G&G maybe. Thiamine, vitamin b1, is a very bitter white powder and a pure tablet can be easily compressed without additives as in the photo. The more bitter it is, the fresher and purer it is.
Congratulations on the improved gut health and symptom improvements with your second try at HDT/B1!
Regarding vitamin B1 levels, Dr. Costantini had said that when he first started using HDT on his patients, they would always show B1 levels that were in range, but once he started them on B1 therapy, their B1 levels were off the chart and he stopped testing their B1 levels.
Yep. Not quite as dramatic here, but high-dose thiamine has played a key role in resolving my Parkinson's constipation. Others have made similar observations.
The B1 therapy doesn’t resolve a deficiency so you wouldn’t have shown a deficiency on blood tests. It triggers enzyme activity but I won’t go into it here! My book “Parkinson’s and the B1 Therapy” should be out by the end of the month. It will be sold on Amazon.
Hi Todd,It’s great to read that. I and a few others here also have digestive symptoms that are largely overlapping yours. I recognise my symptoms in your story, all the way including the weight loss. I just didn’t have constipation, although it is obvious that once we stop eating, a decrease of intestinal transit is natural (the volume of ingested food is key in triggering péristaltisme). Not to mention the role of liquids.
I also started thiamine and experienced significant improvement of my digestive symptoms but not with a complete resolution.
I was recently unwell with a mild though bothersome deterioration of my symptoms, including digestive and was considering to try yoga-related methods to activate the vagus nerve. I’ve done it just once about a year ago but got low blood pressure when I got up. I didn’t pay attention at the time to the effect on my digestive symptoms. I wonder wether to do it before dinner, before going to bed.
I also found myself short of B1 and had to start a different brand with tablets of 300 “slow release”! I decreased the dose and am ramping up.
