Just out of curiosity how many people on this forum took tons of antibiotics over the years or early on in life?
Also, how many of you had a lot of cavities or dental caries?
I am just wondering if our oral and gut floras were trashed which led to PD.
By the way if you are suffering from constipation like I have been I started eating tons of Greek yogurt. Two days later I’m pooping like a champ and overall feeling better.
Healing our gut may help slow progression. Rebalance our gut dysbiosis.
My PD is hereditary. I have/had very few cavities and pretty low use of antibiotics. My sister has many cavities due to antibiotics damaging her tooth enamel when she was given them as a baby but, luckily, she does not have it.
Might not be the cavaties, but the type of fillings you have. The amalgam (silver colored fillings) are 50% mercury. I developed my neuro problems within days of having a filling removed improperly. (see my profile)
I remember always getting ear infections in my young years (3-8 years) and getting liquid medicine drops (I guess they were antibiotics) for them. Then having many more colds than my peers, with lots of antibiotics prescribed.I also had tons of cavities. I also developed colitis at 16 so my gut was affected early on.
I am coming to the same conclusion; that my gut dysfunction is perhaps related to antibiotics and/or fillings and responsible for my getting Parkinson’s. My vagus nerve is hyper sensitive as well.
I’m trying to find ways of healing my gut and my oral biome which is not able to function correctly (the right enzymes are lacking, so I can’t clear my teeth easily like I could before Parkinson’s set in.)
Yes lots for acne years ago and more recently acne rosacea. I had lots of almagam fillings. Had mosts of them replaced with composite fillings years ago.
