Improve your gut! Eat delicious KIMCHI!

I really didn't think I would like this ... But this tastes GREAT!

As you know, PD has been possibly linked to our 'gut.' Estimates are 50 to 100 TRILLION bacteria live in our gut! And they need 'good food' to thrive. Did you know that 60% to 70% of our immune system is in our 'gut'?

'Fermented food' is what bacteria love to eat. While I'm not crazy about "saukerkraut" -- kimchi is a spicy cabbage that you can eat 'straight' or add to meat dishes, etc.

I found the best deal at COSTCO... This is a GREAT 'probiotic' food!

Very, very, very LOW CALORIE! It's just spicy (fermented) cabbage.

And I'm on day #272 of my O.M.A.D. (one meal a day, with all of my calories eaten within a 2 hour window -- so I fast for 22 hours to help heal my gut).

ENJOY and HEAL YOUR GUT!

Good reminder. Kimchi is MUCH better than saukerkraut.

I ran out of the kimchi so reluctantly i opened my big jar of saukerkraut... and i found a new way to eat... and enjoy it! I "mixed" it in with my other veggies and it was really good! Eating it "straight" is tough for me, lol

Even better make your own Kimchi and Kraut. I love both of them. Had Kimchi last night for dinner. I dont make it yet but have made Kraut and loved it.i am currently in love with a local made one and Mother-in-law's brand special reserve. Its awesome cooked up with pork or beef and served on tacos.

I agree, kimchi is the bomb -- and the variety available at Costco is quite good (I've tried five different kinds so far, and it's the best I've had). I eat a little with dinner every night.

I also make a smoothie with kefir after working out every day. Between the two I like to think that I'm topping up the microbiome.

one of my favorite meals is sunny side up eggs over kimchi and bacon. The combination of the three is really good. I found this recipe in a cookbook for healing. Try it you won’t be disappointed.

thanks... but i'm on the O.M.A.D. diet and today is day #273 ! I eat all of my calories within a 2 hour window... "intermittent fasting" is highly recommended to heal the gut ... plus I've LOST over 50 pounds! ... so "bacon" is not on my menu (sadly) ... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Do you know if this one or any brand bought from shops have good Probiotics? I like kimchi too and only can buy from shops but not sure if they are commercially made with artificial and preservatives and no fermentation?
