Just curious if anyone has any experience with this product and bladder issues.... I’m noticing a lot easier bladder control in just 3 days of 1 teaspoon. Plus I think it’s helping with .constapation.

Calm contains magnesium citrate, which is well known to help constipation - best to build up slowly because too much at once can cause diarrhoea. Magnesium is good for us in many ways, and missing in our soil (decades of intensive farming). Interesting to learn that it is also helping your bladder - I wonder if that is because it helps relaxation?

CALM as sold in the USA no longer contains Magnesium Citrate. The ingredients label lists Magnesium Carbonate and citric acid. Magnesium Carbonate is 1/3 to 2/3 as absorbable by the intestines as Magnesium Citrate.

Can anybody tell me whether the carbonate form will interact with the citric acid to form Magnesium Citrate when water is added?

I can't. I'm afraid. I'll be interested to see the response though.

The answer to my above question (given by Caroline Dean , author of The Magnesium Miracle) is affirmative: "In the bottle, Natural Calm is magnesium carbonate and citric acid. When combined with water, it becomes magnesium citrate via a natural, chemical reaction that binds the two molecules together in a highly absorbable form.

"If you use hot water, the reaction will occur immediately and you will know the product is fully converted into magnesium citrate when the fizzing has settled. If you add cold water, the reaction can take up to 15 minutes.

"The final product, once dissolved, is ready to be rapidly absorbed, used up in the hundreds of reactions for which your body requires magnesium.

“ 'Dissolved' is the key word here. When it comes to choosing a magnesium supplement, you most definitely need to look for a liquid. Capsules and pills must be broken down and dissolved by our bodies – an extra, wasteful step."

Good morning. I have had my mum on Calm for the last 6 weeks and it has really helped her to be more regular, and also relax her before she goes to bed. Excellent product with no side effects.
