Fructooligosaccharide (FOS) and Galactooligosaccharide (GOS) Increase Bifidobacterium but Reduce Butyrate Producing Bacteria with Adverse Glycemic Metabolism in healthy young population
“With all the results together, we inferred that high-dose prebiotics intervention mainly promoted the proliferation of Bifidobacterium with producing much lactic acid, inhibiting the growth of opportunistic pathogens, also hindering the growth of butyrate-producing bacteria and SCFA production, which may be related with deteriorated glucose metabolism.”
There was a discussion a while back about a study using gos, fos and inulin with probiotics.

The translation in plain English of this study is that these substances can have an adverse (negative) effect on glycemic metabolism, which is a big NO-NO.
In turn, also raising the question about the value of "prebiotics" in general. At least if we examine the previous studies on prebiotics and their relevance to type-2 diabetes.
Diabetes type-2 is a important correlation with many disease genres including PD.
Yes. I posted this as someone a while back posted an article saying taking fos, gos and inulin with a probiotic was a good thing so it is interesting this says the opposite. ,
I can’t find that other post. I think it may have been Art?
