This is different from the MJ fox findings in April 2014

The type used is ubiquinol - it is manufactured by Kaneka Japanese company that is the market leader for producing COQ10. It is supplied to different brands and packaged under different labels. Healthy origins from iherb has the 300 mg ubiquinol by kaneka

I switched my parents over to this form about 6 months back. I buy it at Costco in the U.S.. The brand is "Qunol" that contains 100 mg of Ubiquinol and 10 mg of vitamin C.

Also in this post they mention an article using Coq10 and creatine successfully in PD patients. Creatine is safe and inexpensive. The average person needs about 3 grams daily to make up for daily losses. Obviously as we age we may need more.

My husband has been taking the Jarrow product from vitacost for 6 months now. You can get it with added PQQ too which has also been taking separately for a few months.

He is on many things ( see my profile) so impossible to tell which are helping him, except for Hardy’s daily essential nutrients which had a very noticeable effect on apathy, anxiety and mood.
