Thiamine HCL timing

Does Dr. C recommend a waiting time before eating after taking the thiamine HCL or does it matter? I know we are to take it on an empty stomach.

2 x day (morning 1g and 5 pm 1g) Vitacost vitamin B1 (as thiamin HCL) 500mg, easy swallow capsules

Royprop do you know how long it should take to see improvements pls. My husband had been taking 4 g a day for 2 months and no obvious change. Any thoughts pls??

Re: B-1: All my symptoms worsened on 4 g per day. I am suspending treatment for one week (per Dr. C's recommendation) and then halve the dose.

I personally asked him in one of my visits and he confirmed to take the Thiamine before food.

But the OP knows it's on an empty stomach, the question is what is approx timing to wait before eating after taking thiamine? 30 mins? 10mins? 1 hour? 90 mins?

I personally take Thiamine 1 hour before food or 2 hours after.
