Symprove & Thiamine HCL

I would like to start my mum on thiamine HCL as per Dr Constanini guidelines. However my mum is 2 months into the three month cycle of symprove.

She’s recently diagnosed last year and currently takes CL 62.5mg 4 times per day

Does anyone know of any interactions with these products?

Many thanks as always

Hi, my husband (with PD) has been taking Vit B1 thiamine hcl together with Symprove for months with no problem.

We were lucky to have dialogue with Dr Constanini before be became ill and as a result have been slowly increasing his dosage. He is up to 4 grams per day now (which I think is the top dosage) , so far not much improve to his left hand tremor, but then we don't know how bad/advanced it might be without the B1. He was diagnosed just over 2 years ago and is not on any meds.

Hope this helps.

Hey Lingfield thanks so much for your response. I hope it does improve for your husband. I'll be sure to update the forum here as to my results.

Great stuff

I forgot to mention that following blood tests (we are working with a nutritionist to resolve constipation, she put us on to Symprove) his level for B1 was in the borderline range. This was after he has been taking B1 for about 6 months at 3 grams per day. Obviously this is based on the individual, but there does seem to be something about low B1 levels and people with PD.
