Dose, thiamine hcl / B1

This morning I combined my morning and afternoon dose. I took eight capsules (4 grams) in one morning dose.

What led you to this decision? Do you take a week off B1 HCL every so often? Thanks for responding to my questions.

I read comment that said one dose was an early Costantini advice.

Early yet, but feel normal

I only take one dose of 2 g in the morning and have been doing so for several months now. The oral dose study I have previously linked showed thiamine levels in the blood reached a steady state in less than one week of single daily oral dosing that plus it was my personal experience that afternoon or evening dosing of thiamine made me restless at night. Those facts are what led me to switch to once daily dosing.

I am 45 YO father of 3 kids (3,5,10 YO) LASTLY started this year with constipation, sleep disturbances, loss of smell and dizziness, lastly I have been noticing gat disturbances also including pain in the back and shoulder, my father has Parkinson, do out recumbent to proactively start this therapy of B1 vitamin? I live in the US, is there any brand I should select ? thanks and god bless you

Thiamine hcl. I take 4g daily, all at once in morning

Hi salojimenez,

Just checking, are you going to a Movement Disorders Specialist? I am asking because of your young age and your young children. These supplements are good to help, but please do not take any chances. Your kids are too young and they depend on your well being. I have been in a similar position a few years ago, but my son has almost graduated from college and he is a huge support. I am 55.
