TWISTED BOWELS (VOLVULUS) FOLLOWING PROSTATE SURGERY.

my partner keeps getting twisted bowels, the medical diagnosis is VOLVULUS, following TURP prostate surgery, for a very enlarged prostate that pressed on the colorectal bowels. Following surgery, the colorectal bowels became floppy and he keeps getting twisted bowels and must undergo an immediate decompression to untwist them, as it is a life-threatening condition. The NHS does not cater to this procedure, so it must be done privately, which is very expensive. Any tips to remedy or heal swiftly pls? Is there anybody diagnosed with VOLVULUS (the bowels get twisted) pls. pls help

Thank you very much for any tip.

I don't know if I had something similar, I had an abcess on my appendix many years ago and about a year later I ended up with stomach adhesions, the bowels were getting " stuck" to the stomach wall and were twisted, it's was extremely painful and a nasal tube was used to remove excess acid / bile that was being created from this problem, I was starved for several days to give the stomach a chance to " right " itself I've always had a gurgling stomach since, it's very disappointing knowing you have to pay to go private, the more operations can lead to more adhesions ,i hope he can find something to relieve this problem, best of luck!

thank you very much for your life experience. My partner had to go private because his stomach was swollen and twisted, and he had a life-threatening emergency status. He went twice to NHS hospital and it took them three days (with no food just water) to get a 4-minute decompression, which lasted only a few hours. He had to seek private urgent medical emergency treatment that took d a 40-minute long decompression that lasted a few weeks.

Get a second opinion from another consultant.

thank you very much. we had. We went to so many doctors. Each says something else.

very confusing. Nobody came up with the right diet. this is a colorectal sigmoid problem that nobody so far has come up with anything that could help. Pray to GD for recovery.
