Hi!

I'm still looking for a diagnosis, and I'd like to know if anyone has experienced something similar to this.

Has anyone ever noticed that stool release an orange-red pigment into the water? Not the stool color itself, more like change the water color around of it, not sure how to explain it.

It's like it a halo came off the poop and it was sedimenting. I'm already going crazy, my anxiety won't leave me alone. It doesn't really look like blood, it looks like something else. Blood is bright red, and this is not. It's a mixture of orange and red.

thank you!

It could be a chemical reaction between the bile and something in the water. I haven't seen it in a while but at some point in the past, we would get a red ring in our toilets at the water line.

Thank you so much for answering! my fear is that it really is blood, because it settles to the bottom of the toilet, however it really is not a bright red color so it is very strange.

Obviously report the change to your doctor.

Has there been any recent change in your diet? It could be something that you are not digesting properly which is leaving this sediment in your stool.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I haven't had any significant changes to my diet, it's basically stayed the same.

I'm going to ask my doctor for a stool test because I'm afraid it's blood, even the color isn't bright red. Unfortunately it happens every time, regardless of what I consume.

Hello Ismf. Is there no evidence of blood at all on the toilet paper? Are you taking any sort of medication or vitamin supplements? Have you noticed this only at home or at other places too? If only at home, are you using any type of toilet cleaner that might be causing some type of reaction? Other than that, a stool test is the best way to proceed - are you otherwise ok? No pain or anything else? Wish you well, and really hope you can find the cause. :)
