I've been battling Crohn's and celiacs for about 5-6 years now. Sometimes when I have a flare my whole body feels like I have been run over by a truck. Does anyone else have this pain and how do you combat it?

My gastroenterologist is actually pretty rude and ignores everything I say. I am looking for someone new. She basically thinks I need to just suck up all the symptoms that go with it and deal with it.
it may be caused by generalised inflammation in the body so targetting inflammation would help if so. I have been seeing a medical herbalist because I cannot risk any more steroid treatment due to the state of my bones. It is helping with the direct symptoms of my UC but is helping a lot with general body pain.
A medical herbalist may be a good idea to try. Thank you. I currently take a heavy dose of mesalamine for inflammation but it only helps so much. It keeps everything ok until there is a flare up.
whenever I had a bad flare I would sometimes get a fever, chills, and body aches. It’s your immune system fighting inside your body. Takes a lot out of us. Rest, Tylenol, vitamin D. But stopping the flares is best. I haven’t had a flare for years. 🙏🏼
Please look up LDN as a treatment. It has vastly used in the UK for Chrons and other autoimmune issues....heck even Parkinsons. While I don't have Chrons, I have other autoimmune issues with a paralyzed gut.
