Hi I posted a few days ago but have a few more questions. So I’ve just taken my last steroid today and am still on pentasa. I’m no longer going to the toilet 10/15 times a day thank the lord. I still have the urgency in the morning though, still loose fluid/ mucus throughout the day and bleed when I do go. Is this normal? Will this be my new normal or do i need to go back to gastro?

Hi there
Glad to hear that you're doing better.
Techinically you shouldn't be having mucus and blood.
The urgency is normal so I wouldn't worry about that.
I personally normally have a rough bowel movement in the morning with a lot of gas etc, but throughout I'm normally fine and only have 2-3 movements.
I would say contact the ibd advice line and ask them any questions you have.
They're really understanding and helpful and can contact your GP and doctors directly and they can send a letter to your GP and prescribe you new medication.
Their email should be IBD.Advice@nhs.net but I would find theit phonr number in where you live and leave them a voicemail so you properly explain what you're going through.
I hope things work out!
