I too find Codeine the only thing to help my IBSD. I take Codeine Phosphate 15 mg when needed and it stops my bowel going into spasm so that I can go out. Couldn't live without it now...
I also take 30mg Codeine Phosphate to control diarrhoea and the god dam awful pain when bad. I try to only take it when necessary though
