Hi I’m new here. I’ve handed in two stool samples, first reading for calprotectin was 340, second is 500 odd, my colonoscopy is next month but the last 4 months I’ve been driving myself mad. I’m getting aches and pains all over my body, particularly in my legs and back, does anyone else experience these symptoms that have been diagnosed with IBD?? My Bowles seem to have settled down a little bit, but clearly still inflammation present with the stool sample. Just looking for some positive feedback on others experiencing same symptoms. Also get get a sore throat quite a lot too.
Any feed back will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Crohn’s disease can affect the digestive tract from mouth to anus. Please don’t look for more problems than you already have. I have had Crohn’s Disease for over 50 years, and, on the whole, I cope well with it. Once you have been diagnosed with whatever you have, there will be plenty of time for research and questions.
Hi there, realise your post was a few months ago but I have had calprotectin reading of 360 colonoscopy that looked fine, second calprotectin reading of 610.
One thing no one said was not to take low dose asprin. That aside I know my digestive system plays up, from constipation for a few days to passing motion four or five times a day. Have been told I have IBS but latest calprotectin of 610 seriously worried as is consultant. Help!! Especially after colonoscopy was healthy colon.
Hi just seen your reply. I’ve recently just had my results from biopsy and colonoscopy. All were fine. I’ve been back to see my GP and they are doing another stool sample to check for CP levels again, and some routine blood tests, also sending a report in to GI for further investigation, although I’m not sure what that will involve, whether they examine the small bowels through MRI or what........ sorry I’m not much help to you.
