A positive reading normally means you are more likely to have active IBD than IBS, and further testing would normally be forthcoming. Usually a colonoscopy to see what and exactly where.

I had a colonoscopy year ago and was clear why didn’t pick it up then

If there was no inflammation or active disease then the colonoscopy would be NAD (Nothing Adverse Detected). Obviously, if the Calptrotectin markers are as high as you have indicated, I would suggest you contact your Gastrointestinal team, or IBD Nurse as soon as possible, because your reading is very high. At least contact your G{P.

I went gp today she gave me the results I read online that my result is borderline

I am sorry, you have stated that your reading was high. The higher the reading, the more likely the cause is IBD not IBS. I would request a further test in 4-6 weeks, to check and make sure that the high levels are not due to your period or other unrelated problems. If the second reading is also high (Just above or borderline), discuss the options with your GP.

Can it be high cause of a period I’m not due on for another 4 days but always seem to get pain week before then when I come on it settles

Unfortunately your period can affect most test results, which is why you are asked if your cycle is due. Yes it could affect because you are having a type of inflammation. I would certainly request a further test, which may well place you within the bounds of normality. Unfortunately that doesn't mean your pains will disappear, but a few further tests could result in a satisfactory outcome. This, of course, may mean painkillers or a regime to regulate and negate the pain. I hope you get sorted shortly.

Thanks my period is due Friday and this pain always comes 1-2 weeks before period but I done the poo test when I didn’t have the pains about week half ago so don’t know if that makes any difference soon as I come on the pains subside until next month that’s what I’ve worked out so far

Being a fella, I don't know' but could this be a form of PMT? It, certainly, seems odd, to me, that it is considered to be IBD, when it is so definitely related to your period. You must keep a diary of when the pain starts, how severe, how often per day, and relate it to your period, and even show it to your gp, which would give a much bettere chance of getting a definitive answer.

No, that's not particularly high. I have had it in the high hundreds before now. However, if you look on the results sheet it should tell you what they regard as normal. (45 - 110) for example. I would use your reading of 127 as a benchmark for any future tests, so you will know if you are getting worse or not. You can always ask your gp what are the bounds of normality for this test.
