Does anyone else find that they run to the beat of the music (whether they like it or not)? I can't help doing it, but sometimes worry that it might be too fast.

Sticking to the beat

I'm quite good at maintaining my own rhythm but do occasionally 'click' with the tunes.

if you are - it could serve you well when you graduate. The 5k+ runs are all about running to the beat - and I'm just about getting the hang of it.
You'll know you're going too fast if either you can't finish a run, or you need more than one rest day inbetween. Although that just happens with life sometimes too

I tend to if it fits in comfortably with my pace - but unfortunately most of the tracks for the C25K didn't suit me at all! I don't mind when it's completely wrong for me, but I find it really uncomfortable running to a track that's *just* off my beat!
I find that if a fast song comes on that I like I do tend to speed up.

As parkbirdy says post graduatation you'll find it easy. I struggle a bit to keep to a beat as i zone out and only half listen
