25 minutes! And on to week 7...

Just finished my third run of week 6 and I found it surprisingly doable... I can't believe I'm running 25 minutes when just a short two months ago I was doing it one minute at a time. This program is just the best! I must admit though that I have broken up with the podcast because the music was driving me bananas... I just use my playlist and a stopwatch but I miss the encouragements :-( I bought myself an armband for my iPhone and keys and I felt so great in the shop with the salesperson being nice enough to take me seriously as a runner :-) Next week, new shoes !

Cheers to all of you running during these holidays!

Congratulations on reaching Week 7!

I was thinking, if you have an iPhone have you considered downloading the Nike+ app? I was also desperate to have my own music and as soon as I got to the long unbroken runs I began using Nike+ and am completely hooked. Not only do you get your own music, and your progress announced to you throughout the run, you also get all your results uploaded to the website so you can see times, speeds and so on. Fantastic motivation!

Keep up the good running!

You could also try the Get Running app. Follows the same programme as couch to 5k, but you can run to your own playlists.

Welcome to week 7!!!!! :-) It is totally amazing what this program can do for us, isn't it? :-) I never dreamed I could step foot into a running store and feel confident and at home! :-) Have fun choosing the new trainers! Gayle

You are doing great, Bx!!! Welcome to W7!!! It is a wonderful feeling to step into a running store and to be taken seriously...to feel like you actually belong there and have business being there, isn't it? :-)

This is an amazing program, but never forget the other important part...YOU!!! YOU are the one providing the dedication, commitment and desire!! YOU are the one doing all of the running!! The program is a wonderful tool, but YOU ARE DOING IT!!!! :-)

Keep Running!! :-)

Thanks Steve for the positive reinforcement!! I really love this community, it is so positive and inclusive, it's a huge part of the program for me! When I get the digest every morning in my inbox it keeps me connected to running as part of my life and gets me motivated to get out the door. The NHS did really good with this whole set up...
