I feel a bit of a fraud.
I felt so good this morning out running, but came back and mapped it on the computer, it was only (I still can't get over the 'only' bit!) 4.75k and only (ha ha) took 29 minutes 33 seconds. OK add on the walk between home and the start and finish places and it's over 5k, but..........
It wasn't that cold this morning, not like it has been, no frost about so I decided to put my new jacket to the test with a short sleeved t-shirt. All my running kit is pink, highlighter pink!! It's got to be hasn't it? So I was disappointed last week when I went out to buy a jacket and they had pink ones, in size 16 or 12, but my friend decided the 12 was too big (another number that I can't get over, 2 years ago a 22 would have been snug!) and that I needed a 10. We checked the 10 in the green and it fitted better so asked if they had it in the pink. No. Umm-ed and ahh-ed about ordering it in the pink and having to go back and collect it (and maybe have my money off voucher go out of date) or just get it in the green.
I ended up getting it in the green. It almost glows out under the street lights in just a half light at about 7.30 this morning. Wow, I bet all the drivers saw me coming, not that there were many around at that time of the morning. Maybe when I need to replace my running kit I will no longer be a pink girl.
Needless to say at 8 o'clock on my way back it wasn't my jacket glowing, it was my face!
