Very cool 5K pace comparison chart!!!!! :-)

Hello group!!!!! :-) I hope there is no problem with posting this link. I found this and thought it is really cool. You can enter gender and age and it will tell you how you compare to others in your category. We are busy today, I'm playing Domestic Goddess and Steve is building our Holy Family an outdoor stable. We will try to post more later.

Keep running!!!! :-) Gayle

  • Blimey according to that i am slightly faster than the average, coolio!

  • Yeah me too! It certainly is a great link ;)

  • That's brilliant, Gayle - thanks for that. I'm ahead according to my age group and sex. Makes me feel a little better. :-D

  • What kind of domestic goddess are you being? Cooking, washing, cleaning, ironing? I hope it includes cupcakes!

  • No cupcakes Viv! Just a beer or two! ;-) laundry etc. The list never ends as well as the piles of laundry! I have Steve out in the garage building a manger for baby Jesus! ;-) I really should be decorating but not really in the mood. I also need to go visit your blog. I have missed your last entry or two. If you have cupcakes one for me!!!!

  • No cup cakes in our house either but loads of ironing, no time for running (however legs hurt so probably a good idea to rest), have had a mince pie or 2 so will say that I had one for you!! (and Steve and Viv and maybe a few others!!) - best run tomorrow ;-)

  • Also run at 66% apparently so very pleased. Maybe a mince pie to celebrate.....

  • Thanks for the link Gayle, hope things are going well in your hive of creativeness/chores :) Surely you deserve a beer by now!

  • Hi Gayle,

Thanks for this - I'll have to wait until I'm sitting down with a calculator to work it all out though. FOr some reason I work entirely in km for running (but miles for driving).

I love your posts and their snippets about life in the US. I (and family) lived in CA for 13 years, just returning here in 2011 and this time of year is one when US life and British life are completely different! I so remember the ritual of putting up the lights - some neighbourhoods near us would be completely crazy with lights! We did our best to join in but never quite went the whole way with cribs and Santa on the roof! My American friends always liked my "domestic goddess" mince pies though!

Ho hum - having lost over 40 pounds this year I don't think I'll be on too many pies and treats this year - but surely one or two (moderation) will be OK.

Keeping running and keep telling us about it!

  • Just looked at mine, and I also run a little faster than the average bear :) Woo hoo! I feel so good now. When you've finished being a domestic goddess, can you just pop across and be a domestic goddess around mine Please ;)
