Do I run if it hurts? (Wk1R2)

I finished my first run and felt great, but obviously didn't stretch enough. This morning my long leg muscles and my knees are still tender. Do I still go for my run today or do I incorporate another rest day? I really want to keep the momentum, but obviously don't want to do any damage...help please!

Not an expert - but if it's hurting I'd give it another day. Things hurt for a reason and it would be daft to risk exacerbating it - then you might find yourself taking a week or more off rather than just one extra day.

I am not an expert either but would say you need to listen to your body. if it hurts (pain) rather than ache coz you have used muscles that you havent for a while then you do need to take another rest day.

I am also not an expert! But.. agree with the others. Listen to your body if it telling you it is not ready for the next run. Another day will not set you back, but could be very beneficial.

I've decided to go tomorrow. I don't need an excuse to stop halfway through, and my legs are feeling much better this evening, so I should be back in business tomorrow.

Thank you for all your advice!
