Does anyone know if there is anyting official to say performance is better after x amount of food and water?
Just back from week 6 run 2. Found it really hard. Not sure why as on paper it sounds like it should be easier than week 5 run 3....
Realised i didnt have a drink before i went and ate more than usual.... co-incidence, or just a harder run (i did run half a k further than when it was 20 mins non stop)
Im dreading the next run.

Firstly, I think most people have found week 6 quite difficult, after the uphoria of W5R3 it kind of brings you back down to earth.
Secondly having a drink of water before a run has always helped me, if I'm running first thing I'll have a banana and a pint of water. Although this is an individual thing, having a drink before running should help prevent cramps.
Week 6 was horrible for me! I place it right up there with weeks 1 and 2 of just starting out! For me it was the walking/running segments again, I prefer the longer runs. Through trial and err, we find we do better eating better the day of our runs and avoiding heavy meals/junk food. Maybe 1-2 hours prior to a run we have part or a whole banana or a slice of WW bread with some natural peanut butter. The day of the run, we also are intentional with our water intake, keeping hydrated. Staying hydrated helps with stitches, cramps etc. Don't dread the next run, you will do great! You've made it this far, keep running! Gayle
