I set off today beyond prepped with every cramp remedy known! I downloaded the android app to add my own bouncier music (sorry Laura!), had a banana and a potassium drink along with lots of water. I did a 10 minute warm up adding in more stretches and walking. I also covered my calves in deep heat and set off determined!!
I could feel the twinge kicking in properly around half way through the 3rd run, slightly slowed my pace and pushed through. Combined the walk with a couple more stretches and carried on to the very end! Im not saying it didn't hurt (oh boy it did!) but it wasnt as dibilitating as the last 2 runs.
Things are looking up!! Hot bath, stretches and the wonderful exercises you have shared with me and I'm hoping to do W3R1 on Monday!
I cannot thank you all enough for the support...you are all amazing!!

I hope you didnt get injured?!? I honestly thought I'd ruined my chances of carrying on which is so frustrating when you've commited to something so good! I have my fingers and toes crossed for you never having to put up with cramp
Vodka and tonic for me Jenn! I'm glad the suggestions helped and it wasnt as bad as before. Maybe in time, as your body and legs becomes used to it, it will ease off - I really hope so for your sake as cramp is horrible......
Keep doing what you are doing and before you know it week 3 will be in the bag! Sue x
Tequila shooter with a slice of lime! if we're celebrating, we're gonna do it up good! Glad you found something to work. Nothing as horrible as fighting with a pain and wanting to run. Gayle
Whichever it is Im continuing all of the remedies! So far so good think the drink idea is a good one...although its a coke for me as Im a weird tea-totaller!
