I started this plan in Feb 2011 with the intention of running the Great Eastern Run in Oct 2011, which i did. I also did another local half marathon the month before and a 10 mile run in the May. However i never managed to run the full length of any of those runs, i had to walk some of the distance. I haven't done any running this year but i have been cycling, swimming and a lot of walking. I am not a runner and find it hard work but oddly enjoyable. Therefore i am going to try again this week and re-start this plan. This is my first blog so wish me luck with the running, knees, ankles etc

Re-starting Couch to 5K this week!
Good for you, BigEd! It'll be interesting to see how you get on compared to the first time! I bet you'll be amazed at how well you do! Keep blogging to let us know how you get on, good luck!
As you have stayed pretty active BigEd you may find the earlier weeks very easy once you have got your running legs back in gear. You may be able to just do 2 runs of each week if you find them too easy. I had a 3.5 month break due to injury in January and re did C25K but only did 2 out of 3 runs for the first 3 weeks then I followed the programme after that. Good luck, there are many of us that are not natural runners, me being one of them but like you love it.
Hi all, W1R1 done and not too bad at all. !5 months to the day after i started it first time around. I have done virtually no running this year so far and today was not as much of a shock as i expected. I remember the 1st run last time, Feb 2011, very cold, very asthmatic! Not as cold and not as asthmatic today, (link maybe?). Looking forward to doing it again thursday!
W1R2 done today and all is good so far. I remember doing this first time around and those 60 sec runs felt like 60 mins! This time however and they seem to be over in no time. Its so much easier this time!. Doing the 3rd run sat and looking forward to it. Not looking forward to work though!
