Has anyone else found it difficult to move onto the next stage? I am on week 2 and have done it 3 times because I am afraid I may not be able to complete week 3.

Have faith and go for it - you CAN do it! You'll surprise yourself every week, I promise. I've just completed W5R2 and I can't believe the progress I've made. Quite often this programme is about the mental challenge rather than the physical one, but you'll do it - roll on week 3
Thank you for the encouragement crafting girl.
you will be fine, try not to worry to much and just go out there and enjoy it.
good luck
go for it!! I bet it will be achievable.
when I got to week 3 or 4 I worried myself so much about being able to cope with the following weeks that I tore up my sheet of paper with what you did each wee, deleted the podcasts off my walkman & just downloaded the next week once Id finished a week. I didnt even let myself listen to it until it was time to run.
if youve done the run 3 times or repeated the week 3 times?? then you should be ready to give week 3 a try.
good luck ~X~
I would say just have a go at the next stage. The challenge is often mental rather than physical. I did my first 30 min run yesterday in week 9 and the feeling of accomplishment was amazing. I just need to stop the fags and lose more weight. You can do it.
You won't know if you can do W3 until you try. Have faith - you really can do it.
Weeks 3, 4, and 5 I worried that I wouldn't be able to cope before I started them. Then I found that I could. I *could* run for 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 8 minutes (although not *quite* 20, so I'm repeating Week 5). Trust yourself, trust the programme. Try moving on to the next week, with the thought that if you really can't complete it when you try it, then you can repeat it.
Don't worry about it. It took me 50 runs to complete the programme rather than 27, yet I still have my badge! I'm now running twice or three times per week and am getting faster and running for longer. If you feel you want to repeat a run, do so - although do try the next one, because you might surprise yourself. Good luck!
Ive been working on the principle that if I've actually completed a full run programme on the thrird run, its OK to move on to the next week. Sometimes Ive really struggled to move on and havent been able to finish all the periods of running on that first day of a new week, but Ive always done more than the run before and been able to build up to the full run in the new week, rather than staying put on the old.
Ofcourse it's different for everyone, but I'd say - give it a go, you may surprise yourself!
I never looked ahead - just listened and did as I was told (or tried to!) That is the drawback of the forum (for all its benefits) that you know what is coming and if so inclined, can get your knickers in a twist about it. Anyway, what dreadful thing is going to happen if you attempt but don't complete week 3?
Just go for it! You can do it. I am now on week 9 and never thought in a million years I would get to this point. I re-did two runs to get here, and once they were done moved onto the next run. As long as I completed it, I did not worry if it felt good or not, I knew I could do that run and so the time was to move on. Keep going, don't worry about what comes next, but if you do one run, go on to the next. Keep going, you will make it! After all hundreds of others have - and I expect the majority never thought hey would when they started!
I am going to the gym with a lady that i work with, every run she tells me she wont be able to complete it, but i always tell her to trust the program, run slower and you will be fine. And surprise surprise she succeeds, her next run is week 5 run 3, she has no idea what that involves as she has not been on this site, but i know she will be fine.
I think everyone who has looked to see what the next week entails has thought i will never be able to do that, but we can and we do. Trust the program and if you have completed all three runs in a week then you will be ready. Give it a go and surprise yourself.
Every week I'd be thinking I'll never be able to do next week but each time I found I could do it, it wasn't easy but having done the previous runs in the plan I was ready to move on. So much of this journey is a mental battle not a physical one. I've now lost count of how many runs I've done and I still doubt myself each time that I might not be able to do it today, I just have to get on with it and prove myself wrong
...go for it; I had two good runs of week 3 but my 3rd I struggled as was coming down with a cold. This morning I've just completed week 4 run 1 and it was my most enjoyable run yet. It's surprising how your body adapts. I concentrate on my breathing and focus ahead, listening to Laura for encouragement...Good Luck and remember you won't know unless you try it...Enjoy!
Thank you everyone for the encouragement and comments. I have now completed the first run of week 3, found it hard but kept going. Laura is inspiring.
