Anyone entered the Great Edinburgh Run?

Have taken the plunge & hoping the weather will have settled down again. I'll be proudly wearing my C25K T-shirt and will be looking out for others.

Having never run in the capital before, is it really as hilly as it looks?

Thinking about the 5k. Have had a look at the map of the route and yes it looks hillier than anything I've done so far this year.

It certainly is as hilly as it looks, and the first mile up Calton Hill will be hard if you haven't done any hill training. Sorry to be a bit negative but I have completed 2 marathons (power walking) in Edinburgh and I would not be comfortable running that route as a novice runner.
