Well it's not a day for doing anything outside.
Gym again tonight.
Like you Swanscot I am now very tired. It's all taking it's toll.

Woke up and looking out my bedroom it looked fine. OK, got dressed in my running gear. Had a glass of water in the kitchen and noticed it didn't look so 'fine' outside now. Stepped outside and almost got blown off my feet and my face got sand-blasted with the rain. Hmm, a change of plan was called for. So, reluctantly, I opted to do 5K on the exercise bike (it's not that I don't like the exercise bike, it's just I want to do this challenge by 'moving somewhere' - I know it may sound strange, but that's me!)
5km of cycling later - watching breakfast TV - now, that's something I've not done for ages.
Time to pop outside to get logs for the wood-burning stove and I notice the rain has stopped and the wind died down a bit. I'm still in my running gear, so I decide to go for it. I completed one loop of the local roads, which include two hills that I've not run up before. I manage 4.2km in 27 mins. Not bad with the hills. It rained a bit when I was out, but nothing like now.
Now it's lashing it down outside again and blowing a hoolie.
I hope the roofer I passed in the village is safe. He had just started laying tiles on a roof for a house that had to be rebuilt after being completely destroyed my fire only about 6 months after it was built.
We had the wind pick up a wheelie bin and throw it at us on the way into work. I'm about try a walk, but it's pretty stormy looking.
Weather in Aberdeen been pretty rough too, trees landing on buses, uprooted etc. not to mention the sea foam that covered a small village!
Anyway, feel better today so went to the gym, forgot my iPod (treadmill), and kindle (exercise bike) so got bored far too quickly. So my routine was this:
Run - 2.5k
Bike - 5k
Cross trainer - 2.5k
Incidentally I am getting a new treatment for my Achilles tendonisis tomorrow, lithotripsy. Bit wary, has anyone had this treatment and know what it entails?
My wife used to live in Aberdeen. Never thought of my kindle on the excercise bike. I just listened to an audio book and got through a 13k cycle.
I have never heard of lithotripsy. Good luck tomorrow, I am seeing about my ankle tomorrow.
Now I am going to eat and watch the Great British Bake Off.
I did another 2.8 km walking to the village post office and back for the local paper, so that's me done more than the full day's 5K actually going somewhere. (As well at the 5K on the stationary bike)
I've indulged in both ice cream and chocolate after my evening meal, so am *thinking* about another wee spin on the exercise bike
All the best Angel and George with your foot/ankle treatments tomorrow.
