15k on gym bike. Still not able for a run, still feel sh*t. Bought new trail running shoes today so if weather and health improves then will be out there. Prefer outside but I am a bit of a fair weather runner! Don't mind the rain or cold but hate the wind!

5x50 day 16
You are doing an awesome job, keep positive. New trail shoes are cool.
Well done, I just got back fom the gym. Walked and cycled nearly 16 today.
I got an appointment with a podiatrist on Wednesday. Hopefully that will be money well spent and I can get my ankle sorted out.
Not being able to run is bit crap.
I did a walk today and a wee 5.8 km walk at that. I'm tired. The long hillwalk on Saturday, followed by the long run on Sunday (which was over 2k longer than on my schedule) are taking their toll.
The walk was no 'walk in the park' mind. It was a getting lost in the woods and the crofter's fields walk. My (marathon-running) son decided to accompany me as this was his walking day too, and he suggested we explore a new track in the forest. We followed this track down to a ford over the burn and a new simple footbridge. Now, you'd think a footbridge would lead to a footpath or track. But this one didn't. The 100m of track on the far side lead to a barbed wire fence around the field and a steep bank covered in bracken. We thrashed out way through the bracken, and found a gate into the field. We thought we manage to get to the road at the top of the field, but our way was blocked by a gorse thicket. We re-traced our path back down the field and followed the fence line to another field. Eventually after negotiating five gates, four fields and a short section of the public road we completed a small loop back to the burn. Just to add to the adventure we decided to re-cross the burn by the ford, leaping between stepping stones.
We both agreed that this is NOT a route to add to my list of possible running circuits.
Well done to both of you, Angel108 and George on clocking up kilometres at the gym. I did think about maybe adding a few extra km on the exercise bike, but I'm tired. Did I tell you I am tired?
