I posted a question about doing the couch potato only at the weekend. I forgot to ask is it safe to do this on two consecutive days?

I would do the couch potato in the week ;) and the running on the weekend, but not on consecutive days :)

I'm at the early stages of the Couch to 5K and have just done the 3rd wk 4 run. Have to admit I find it all rather addictive and so I went through the first 3 weeks at double speed and only took a day off when switching to a new week. However I found the increase at wk4 quite tough, and so I followed the plan and took the rest days and I think that was the sensible decision for me. On "days off" I try to walk at least 5k, ride my bike for an hour or do an hour on the wi-fit step. I started this as someone who has not run in 30 years and I'm carrying 15 kg too much weight but am doing my first 5k charity run on 25th November. If I can follow this plan then everyone can. I find having a running buddy some days helps and am a bit scared of week 5, but I will push myself to do it.
