4x10 mins with a minute walk in between, easy right? WRONG!! Well, I didn't find it easy anyway.
If anyone is attempting this using the podcasts posted here at the weekend all I can say is GOOD LUCK!!
I run on a treadmill and I'm pleased I did for the 1st attempt at this at the music tempo's are a little varied to say the least.
Towards the end of the 1st 10 minutes there is a song (Foo Fighters I think) which is really fast. Had I not been running on the treadmill at a constant pace I could've ended up looking like something from a Benny Hill sketch!
Second 10 minutes and Britney arrived with her Circus at some point - too slow for me.
Third 10 minutes and I could feel a stitch starting and my groin started giving me trouble so tried to lengthen my pace to shake it off but it wasn't having it.
Stopped 2 minutes into the last 10 mins to walk, my groin just didn't want to play today and my legs felt like lead, it was really hard to get going for the last 10 minute segment.
I shall probably try again at the weekend, and do a bit of 'speed' on Thursday. Would be interested to see how others find it.

Hey, sounds like you gave it a good go. The podcast sounds horrendous. Is this Laura or another one? I love the image of the Benny Hill sketch, ha ha. It still sounds like a really good workout - I mean, when you do a fitness class you don't always keep up and/or do every exercise perfectly? (well, I don't! ) It's all about trying and improving, so I think you deserve a big cheer for getting so far with it.
Thanks Soozz, thats made me feel a bit better about not completing it (can't finish C25K+ stepping stone podcast either yet!)
The podcast itself isn't too bad to be honest. Its an American lady, she only tells you when to stop and go, no helpful 'Laura' tips as you go, but the music is a little better than the later weeks of longer running on C25K.
Definately worth a try, but just be careful if you pace yourself to the music as you could end up tired out very quickly!
I was planning to start this this evening but should I go straight into B210K or should I try stepping stone first?. Great that you have persevered with it though. That is laura's mantra throughout the programme . Never give up.
I suppose it depends on what you fancy doing. Both are good.
I found Stepping stones harder as I am a plodder and you are pushed to up your pace every so often, rather than intervals. Even the starting pace felt too fast for me on that one when I tried it. Maybe it's time to dig it out again as its been a couple of weeks.....
I know I would've completed the B210K podcast if I hadn't had the starting of a stitch. I can keep going with the groin niggle, but I cannot get through stitch!
Yep, it's quite a tough step up to the 4 x 10 mins. Ignore the tempo a bit if you can; going back to ten minute intervals after being able to do the full 30 mins sounds easy but it's not...and people are tempted to go quite fast thinking it's just ten minutes at a time. I remember doing this and really struggling especially in the very last interval.
I have to say I was surprised at how tough I found it, especially the last segment, even at my usual treadmill 'running' pace. It was a bit like struggling through W6R1 after the high of W5R3!! And now my legs and buttocks are already aching which is a sign I must've worked a bit harder than normal I'm sure
I enjoyed the challenge though so its on my list to try again sooner rather than later.
