. . . so after much sulking have gone back to W5, and have just done R1 (which incidentally I thought would be a breeze after the longer distances, but wasn't!). Shameful, I know, but hopefully this will kill off the negative gremlin who has been resident on my shoulder recently! Despite being a dismal failure, I am still lovin' it!
Week 9 - I just can't do it . . .: . . . so... - Couch to 5K
Week 9 - I just can't do it . . .

Hey..well done for getting back on the plan.

You're not a failure. You're still going faster than the potato on the couch. Just think back to week1 and how far you've come. You can do it!! Tell that negative gremlin to bog off back to the couch so you can get on with your run.

both running and walking are great ways to get fit and you're doing both so think how fit you're going to be! :)The main advantage with running over walking is that if you've only got a limited time to exercise, running will cover the ground faster. But fast walking is as useful for building stamina and fitness so don't worry

At least you haven't given up. I hit a block at week 4! Took me 4 weeks to move on to week 5 and even now 16 weeks after starting I'm only on week 6 - currently blocked at the 25 minute run. My gremlins have convinced me I'll never manage it. Just keep at, it at least you're getting out and exercising - which is all good
Yep, me too, i am surrounded by hills and just can't do the 25minute stretch yet, so am just continuing to go out 3x a week doing the same route and gradually (very gradually) the 'i'm dying and have to walk for a second' moments are getting less and less and my recovery in the walking bits are getting quicker so i reckon i only have two 1 minute walks in the 25 mins now. I WILL GRADUATE ONE DAY!!!
