I did it!! Each run! I was comfortable in the minute and a half too. Still trying to work on my breathing. Laura's tip breathe in four steps and exhale 4 steps was not happening.

I think many people struggle with Laura's breathing tips! I found 4 paces per breath faster running than I could do so thought it was best to find my own rhythm and make my breathing as even as I could. The more important tip she gives comes further on and she will tell you to breathe using your abs so that your lungs are used to full capacity. Breathe in by pushing out your stomach to drop the diaphragm and expand the lungs and breathe out by pulling in the stomach to squeeze the lungs. It take some practice because usually, when we're not thinking about breathing, we breathe in by sucking in the stomach and raising the shoulders and then relax to breathe out. This won't help you when running so you might like to practise the "belly breathing" technique during your running and walking sessions and you'll find your lungs become much more efficient.
Well done on your progress. Have fun running!
