Skipped weeks 7 and 8...

I finished week 6 and had felt really comfortable with the 20 minute run so I decided to skip weeks 7 and 8...I knew I'd be ok with 25 minutes, and 28 minutes (in week 8) is just 2 minutes short of the magical 30 minutes....so I went for it.

I dispensed with the beautiful Laura ( sorry, the music is truly appalling) and went to my iPhone and created a 40 minute playlist, making sure the first 5 and last 5 minutes were at a slower pace for the warm up and cool down.

And I did it....I ran for 30 minutes...without stopping!

I had a couple of moments around minute 7 and then again at minute 19) when I had to give myself a good talking to when my calves were killing me...isn't the mind a wonderful thing? It was trying to convince me to stop, but the determined side of my brain was telling me not to give in...

Our wonderful Olympic team have nothing to worry about...this was all at a quite pedestrian pace in the grand scheme of things, but what is important is that I ran for 30 minutes.

Over the course of the next few days, I'm gonna do that again...twice.

When I've done it, do I still graduate, or will I be 'red carded' for missing weeks 7 and 8???
