welcome and very well done! If you're unused to exercise, find a flat course and try a soft surface, (canal towpath, park after rain etc) That will reduce strain on your legs and help your muscles. Make the walking parts brisk enough to be just under a trot and the running parts just a little more than that. Go slowly and relax. It's all about building the stamina needed to continue for 30 minutes so the walking parts are going to help with that. Some people like stretches before and after running but you will probably find the brisk walking will do that for you. Keep your muscles warm after the exercise and they shouldn't stiffen too much overnight. Good luck and keep blogging
I'm sure that if you can run on grass etc, and go at your own pace, you will do it. Just go slowly, and walk if you feel any pain. Slow and sure is better that speed. Remember the tortoise and the hare! I go under my duvet when I've cooled down in the hopes that it will help my knees. Ok, if I'm honest, most of my runs, I'm thinking about going to bed when I get back!! Having said that, I do run early in the day! Best of luck to you.
Thanks for the advice I ran on the cannel so far so good legs feel ok but we will see how they feel tomorrow
