I did it, I GRADUATED today.......

Ok so it's taken me alot longer than the 9 weeks to complete, but as of today I have officially GRADUATED, YAY.

Thankyou to you all, I've loved reading about all your experiences, they are very inspiring and helpful, and it certainly helps knowing that there are other people who have been there before, I don't know how far I would have come if it weren't for your blogs.

What a journey it's been, there were times when I was wondering if I could complete, as all throughtout the programme I've had really good days, days when I have literally jumped out of bed, because I couldn't wait to achieve the next goal of the programme and bad days when I couldn't bring myself to go out there and run- These bad days for me meant that it could be up to 4 days before going out again and happened quite recently. I completed Race for life on the 30th and then couldn't bring myself to go out running again and it was over a week later that I did and this was just one session of 20 minutes, once again after this session I left it till this week to complete the programme.

This week I got back on track and ran week 9 run 2 on Tuesday and run 3 today, and there is only four words to describe it, difficult, overwhelming, tough, but above all empowering.

My aims :

Improve endurance and stamina,

Don't leave too long in between each runs,

Include hills,

Reach the 5k mark.

Congratulations!

I have to admit I've found it hard to remain focussed now I don't have a formal programme to work to.

Great job! It takes longer than 9 weeks for lots of people, but you stuck with it, so good on you! If you would like more structure to keep you going now, maybe consider committing to doing another X amount of running. If you commit, for example, to keeping on top of the running for 6 or 9 more weeks, chances are excellent that it will be a habit to keep going after that, and be easier to continue indefinitely.

Well done that's great. Make sure you keep going now you don't have to follow a programme. I booked a 5k to make sure I kept running. ....it's on Sunday ahhh

Well done to you. I only have W9R2 and 3 to do but I must admit I am struggling at the moment. Like you said it is good to read that other people have ups and downs.

I hope to join you in graduating by the end of the weekend.
