Yippee, never thought I would get that far. Tried before to go running without any sort of plan and got puffed out and gave up. I got though the first run with the Couch to 5K plan
and proud of myself. I took the advice and went at my own pace and that helped a lot..

Thanks Ladybugw and Sanku for your words of encourage. I think the structure helped a lot and not pressuring myself to run too fast. I actually found myself telling me to slow down before I got puffed out.
well done, funrungirl. We look forward to hearing how you get on with the programme. I like the idea of being able to do 5k in 9 weeks since, like you, I've tried to run before but found it difficult without a structured plan to follow. I'm now at the end of wk 6 so I've got 9 more runs to go and none of them is short! Once they are done I'm hoping my mind and body will believe that I'm a runner! Enjoy your running
I /love/ the structure of the plan - it's all been within my reach thus far and it challenges you when you need it. I'm going to be really sad when it finishes!
