Is it because I am new to this? Does it happen to anyone else? I had to take my new running shoes off and do my five minute warm down walk bare foot around the park! I felt a right fool!

Any advice on getting pins and needles or a dead leg when running?
Are you tying your shoes too tight? I have a high instep & get numb toes in all sorts of shoes if they are pressing down on top of my foot. I'm currently running in some kalanji trainers from decathlon which have no laces& some straps under & over, so have the strap tight underneath, but loose on top. This means I only get numb toes if I've done the strap too tight.
I will be really mindful about my laces next time, but I don't think this was the issue...thanks for your reply
get checked out for piriformis syndrome, it is a tiny muscle which irritates the sciatic nerve and gives that "dead leg" numbness. A good physio will give you exercises to counteract it.
Oooo! Thanks....
I had the same thing not quite a severe as you by the sound of things. It was all down to tying my laces too tight, silly but simple sort. Lets hope thats all it is for you.
Thanks
