Running 25 minutes no longer holds any fear for me, in fact it feels great. But it is a little bit boring, how people do it hour after hour I don't know. Still that is a small price to pay. Looking forward to my next run on Saturday now.

It's funny but the longer the runs the more you get into a zone. I've never meditatedbut I think it's a bit like that.
Also I change the route as often as I can which is also interesting.
Good music helps too.
Glad you're finding the running do-able

Whan you've graduated ( not long now ! ) do as TJ says...change your route, make your own playlist, do a bit of interval training. mix it up a little....
I also get into a zone, and when doing longer distances even "forget" i'm running, which is sort of weird, but true !
Keep going and good luck with the rest of the program

I agree, I think the longer runs are actually more interesting, or at least offer the possibility of being more interesting.
When your distances are short you are naturally limited to where you can run by the need to be able to get home again, unless you know someone kind who will come and pick you up.
Once you can go longer you have much more flexibility, I rarely go out with a plan in mind as to where I am going and what route I will take except in very general terms; so sometimes I can go off down roads or tracks I have never been down before just to see where they go, sometimes I go down routes I haven't been through for decades just to see if they are still the same.
I have started to run to music again but Theresa is right about 'zoning' sometimes I can get a whole leap down the road without being able to remember too much about the intervening interval.
For me the long runs are what keeps it interesting the shorter runs are harder work in some respect but you need to do it before you gain that extra bit of freedom.
So I think you are probably just reaching that period where it might feel a bit repetitve if you let it. It all opens out, or did ofor me once you can go an hour (about 10K for me).
The other thing which helps is to buy yourself a bit of shiny kit once in a while! That makes it all feel better

Thanks for the useful comments. I don't think I have been in the zone yet, but I am looking forward to it!!!
