I start week 7 tomorrow and know I am very slow would take me about 50 minutes to complete a 5k atm. I intend to finish the programme and when I can consistantly run for 30 I will increase the speed I intend to enter a 5k race when they start again next year so I know I have loads of time.
Good luck

This program teaches you how to run for 30 minutes non-stop.
When you can do that ( ie after you've 'graduated' ) thats the time to start thinking about pace/distance.
A lot of people repeat week 9 a couple of times just to get confidence.
And by then the new super-dooper podcasts will be available....they're for improving after the c25k.
Don't be in a rush....

Iam very slow too. Iam on W9 and nowhere near 5k. I will have six runs after I graduate (hopefully this Sunday), to cover as much distance as I can before my Race for Life. I will have to build up stamina in order to complete the course. Speed will have to come later - or maybe never !!
Good luck!
