Well, that was a tough one! Maybe I set off a tad too fast in all the excitement and then paid for it on the killer hill? Lol oh well, I had a ball and finished 3rd from last (I think). Awaiting official times and hoping for a new pb!

Just back. Found it tough today too although still managed to run the whole way! My garmin tells me I was 10 seconds faster than my best but need to wait for official time!

I even spoke to a few people at the end today...so an major achievement for me even if didn't get PB!

Glad you enjoyed it!

I found it tougher than last time, it is a few weeks since I last did it though and noticeably warmer so that may be the reason.

The running club leader shouted my name asi approached the finish line which spurred on that sprint finish (roughly translates as dragged my ass slightly quicker) so although I was embarrassed it was nice.

Well done anonymous! Great stuff!

First read it as "awaiting official times and hoping for a new pub" and thought i'm choosing THAT parkrun!

Thanks :)

I wish! I was gasping for a drink at the end and a vodka and coke would have soooo hit the spot ;)

First park run! Loved every second though SO tough , running with others just what was needed. My OH came too and kept popping up around the course yelling "come on"! which was a spur (though a bit embarrassing) and I did it in 29:14 which was very happy with! Anyone thinking of this do go for it, really friendly and inspiring!Well done you all!!

Well done everyone!

I am going to do the jubilee run on Tuesday, hopefully this time on the proper course and not 5 times round a blooming great field :)

Not posted on here much but I was so inspired by all your parkrun stories I did my first yesterday, taking along my 11 year old son for moral support!

I had to stop and walk in a couple of places but running in a group and using others to pace myself really helped and I was really chuffed and suprised to get 30.10!! And I'm only on week 8! (my son just beat me at 29.53)

That's a truly brilliant time for week 8! I love the fact that there are runners (like you)who take their children with them. There were a few at the Eastbourne parkrun. It's such a fun thing to do and gives them a positive experience of exercise at a young age :)
