.......to all of you who are doing tomorrow's parkrun. I will be waving those virtual pom poms for you all!
The weather is cooler so that should make it a bit more bearable!! I just hope it's not raining before we start. Don't mind if it's during the run but there's nowhere to shelter before so would probably end up pretty cold.
Well my body is ready for the morning so now only need to get my head into the right place for tomorrow. Will report back on times!

Yes, good luck anyone elso doing it. I have developed a cold...teachers always do just before half term but will still go now that I've pysched myself up.
Apart from the registration number do I need anything else? Will it be obvious what to do when I get there? Do I sign in with the volunteers? How do they start it off? Do you all run at the same time? How do they time you? Do I sound nervous!?!
Apparently they are asking for us to wear red, white or blue! I only own black, black and pink!
mines doing red white and blue too but i'll be in black!
you just need your bar code. no need to sign in with anyone just go to the start. when you get there its normally obvious where to start but i just asked someone as i was so nervous.. at ours right at the beginning they ask for first timers and then someone explains what the route is etc
you all start at the same time and when you finish you get given a token which you then hand in and give your bar code (that's how they know your time). as you go over the finish just ask someone where to head or follow the crowds...guessing there will be quite a few finishing around your time
Thank you AliB! Doing my first ever park run tomorrow, not sure if the body or the spirit are yet ready but going for it! good luck for yours and all the newbies out there!
I have discovered a new park run within walking distance of me started last week (its a bit hilly, so good motivation to get off my flat runs I've been doing). I'm working the next couple of Saturday morning, but will hopefully make it following that...need something to aim for.
I already registered, and I think TJFlute asked all the questions I was thinking of, so thanks to AliB1 for answering them!
