Hips don't lie!

Completed W8R1 last night and what a lovely sunny evening for it (made a change!). But my hips started to ache before bed and today are really painful :( A light yoga session this morning helped ease them a bit but am shocked how quickly this has come on from no where, on both sides. Really hoping this doesn't impact getting to W9.

Ooh, google "hip pain running", lots of advice on Runners World and other sites but cant seem to paste a link for some reason.

I got hip pain on one side on two occasions - during week 9 - from running a bit faster a bit longer and on rough ground down a slope (had stuck to flat up till then), Big sister (7 times marathoner and oracle on all things running related!) said it might be ITB, nothing to worry about, she showed me how to use a foam roller in the gym to ease it out.

I have bought a foam roller to use at home but have never had hip pain since I bought it (use it just in case sometimes)! It's like a magic foam roller! But its there if needs be and my toddler niece thinks its a great plaything!

thank you Deryn61. I shall try some of the stretches they suggest and see how I go. Has eased a lot during the day.
