On Wk 7 and felt a muscular "ping" at the top of my right hip while running and had to walk because of the pain. Any thoughts/advice? :(

Sorry I don't know what it is but I would put some ice on it and rest it if you are in pain. If its only an ache give it a nice gentle stretch. Hope it's just a twinge.

I was crippled with hip pain on both sides after W2R1, It was so bad that I thought it would ruin my chances of carrying on. I hobbled home and then couldn't find a comfortable position at all, I was desperately trying to get on the laptop to google it!!

I took some ibuprofen for 24hrs (although the pain was gone after an hour) and I rested for 5 days (that killed me more!!), then I was right as rain, nothing since. Everthing I found on the internet scared me to death but rest seemed to come up a lot.

Just rest and take something like I did, fingers crossed you'll be fine. Good luck!
